General Admission show - $5 ADV // $7 DOS Join us Saturday August 13th, for live music with Jay Van Raalte and the Spectrum! What would you get if you blended the economy of The Edge with the blowtorch blues of Jack White, added to the direct, narrative songwriting of Tom Petty and the flair of The Killers? Probably something like Jay Van Raalte. Jay’s musical endeavors have ranged from old school blues to folk/country, from musical theater to modern rock, but three things remain constant: thoughtful guitar playing, perceptive songwriting, and a strict attention to detail and arrangement. All of this is on display in Jay’s debut release, Linearity. The self-produced EP features Van Raalte on nearly every instrument, but bringing the songs to life onstage requires a team: bass and drums round out the the trio's live sound, providing a rock-solid foundation for Jay’s fiery guitar playing.

General Admission show - $7 ADV // $10 DOS Long Strange Deal brings the jams! Period! This is not the traditional Jerry/Bobby style Grateful Dead tribute. LSD has gathered some of the best Dead players from the Charlotte area, including members of bands such as Other People, Liquid Sound, Brokedown Palace, Whiskey Prophets, MFT, to form a tribute that is reminiscent of some of our favorite eras of the Grateful Dead and JGB all mixed into one show!! Three lead players fill up the room swapping solos of collective styles ranging from some of the best eras of the Dead with Mike on guitar and vocals pouring his late 60’s thru the Mid-70’s super clean, bluesy tones into the songs, Cito Giulini with Jerry licks for days and the tones from late 70’s through the 80’s, with great harmony, backing, and lead vocals to boot, Russ Betenbaugh on Keys and vocals gives a nod to all of the great keyboard players that played beside Jerry whether it’s Brent, Nicky Hopkins, or Melvins Seals; and a solid rhythm section including “Thunder” Dan Ihle dropping Phil lines, and Maz Sietsma on drums filling some of both parts in one! Bethany Sietsma, on backing vocals, adds to the JGB sound and is a bonus on the Dead set too!

INDOOR $20 a seat/must reserve entire table/tables are limited---OUTDOOR is general admission $10 a person----   Tuesday casual collaborations at 185 King Street are the result of what has now been over a year-long series that Travis Book started to fulfill a need for live music during the pandemic period. When music venues around the country were closed we pivoted to find a way to provide live music to our community. Open air and spaced out, we prevailed. Every Tuesday since August of 2020, Travis has assembled 3-4 musicians for a unique night of music. After more than a year, the series has become the cornerstone of the Brevard music community; bringing musicians and music fans together for one-time-only collaborations. Travis has hosted a wide range of musicians, including: Mike Ashworth, Anders Beck, Nicki Bluhm, Josh Daniel, Andy Dunnigan, Benny “Burle” Galloway, Mike Guggino, Lindsay Lou, Tommy Maher, Mimi Naja, Lyndsay Pruett, Rev. Matthew Reiger, Jon Stickley, Barrett Smith, Kyle Tuttle, and Jon Weisberger and is now occasionally handing the mic over to let some of his friends take the lead. Every week is different, but it’s not just a jam; the musicians bring intention to every setlist and every show and as a result, these carefully cultivated shows are becoming a cornerstone of the WNC music scene.

General Admission show - $5 ADV // $7 DOS Jack Marion and The Pearl Snap Prophets bring a youthful-exuberance and high-country swagger to the doorsteps of modern americana music. The North Carolina-based band has spent the past 4 years in honky-tonks, bars, and mountain roadhouses, collecting fodder for songs along the way. There are songs about living; written in the shadows of the Blue Ridge Mountains. They are straight-from-the-hip and straight-from-the heart. No bull-honky. All truth. But they are just as catchy as any songwriting-factory-formed mega hit that will ever curse your ear. Drawing from their Southern Appalachian roots and channeling the gritty rock ‘n’ roll they were raised on, The Brothers Gillespie spin heartfelt yarns with an alternative edge
